Education is a space where a lot is going on as technology takes control over the world. We are becoming more and more technologically enabled. Although it is just about 20 years past the last century, we feel a new world already and it is just started. We are living in an age where everything happens with technological devices all day. Therefore, more internet penetration and easier access to smart phones are certainly going to influence education.
Generation Z and Generation Alpha have grown up with advanced technology as a given in their homes and classrooms. With so much information readily available to them, 21st century skills focus more on making sense of that information, sharing and using it in smart ways. Therefore, social platforms where anyone could teach anyone are becoming mainstream in our age.
Technology is the definiton of our new world and a good tool that is used to make learning more interesting, exciting and effective. 21st century education is giving students the skills they need to succeed in this new world, and helping them grow the confidence to practice those skills.
